24th February 2010 at Gwalior was a day full of records. A historical day in ODI cricket. The master blaster Sachin Tendulkar with his might piece of willow thrashed South African bowling and scored first ever double ton in ODI history. He scored 200 not out while India scored a mammoth 401 against South Africa.

It was Sachin's master class innings that scripted an emphatic win against South Africa as the Proteas were bowled out for 248 in 42.5 overs. India registered a comprehensive win by 153 runs thus winning the India Vs South Africa ODI series and retaining number two position in ICC ODI rankings.

Sachin scored 200 in 147 balls with 25 boundaries and 3 sixes. This innings is the fastest double hundred by any batsman in the history of cricket combining both forms of the game beating the record of Nathan Astle who scored 200 in 153 balls in a test match against England. This innings also had record 25 number of boundaries in ODI cricket!

Dinesh Karthik (79) and Dhoni (68) smashed Protean bowling attach and supported Sachin pretty well. Sachin Tendulkar the legend himself, dedicated this innings to all the Indian fans who supported him throughout his great 20 years career of cricket. Sachin said he will be glad if an Indian breaks his record in the future.

A remarkable day in the history of Indian as well as world cricket.
