India Vs Australia Day 4 Live - This could be the decider

India Vs Australia 1st test continues the excitement as we enter day 4 which could well be the deciding day. Looking at the way wickets tumbled on Day 3, today it could be the final day of this match. Australia has gained a lead of 230 which looks defendable on this bowler supporting pitch. Still 2 wickets to go for Australia they can gather few more runs to add to India's target.

Fortunes in this test match are fluctuating wildly for either of the teams. Indian batsmen on day 3 couldn't provide any resistance and they conceded 51 runs to Australia. Although 51 runs look small but they can provide a winning cause on this pitch. Just like the Australian bowlers, Indian bowlers were also exceptional as they took wickets at regular intervals. Only two Australian batsmen who could spend a good amount of time on pitch were Ponting and Hussey. Yadav again took four wickets and continued his good form down under.

Day 4 can now belong to either of the teams. If Hussey can gather few more runs taking help of tail enders, they can apply more pressure on Indian batsmen. Then a lot depends of bowling of Hilfenhaus, Pattinson, Lyon and Siddle. Ball isn't coming on to the bat properly resulting in inside edges dragged on to the stumps. Batsmen need to be more careful in terms of timing the ball. Indian batsmen has a tougher task as they are the ones who would chase.

A lot is expected from Kohli, Laxman and Dhoni who failed in 1st innings. Sachin, Dravid, Gambhir and Sehwag need to contribute their best as it seems they will have to chase something more than 250 on day 4. This match could completely swing Australia's way, or it could go India's way if their batsmen click or it can go down the wire resulting in a nail biter!

Ind Vs Aus 1st Test Day 3 Live - Bowlers dominating

Ind vs Aus Day 3 Live

A pure see-saw cricket match going out there at Melbourne. Day 1 belonged to both the teams whereas Day 2 belonged to the Indian team. It seemed India will go ahead to register atleast a lead of 100 runs to put pressure on the Australians. But things went the other way round. Any Indian who woke up at around 7 o' clock in the morning would have been shocked to see India bowled out at the stroke of lunch.

India's batting debacle resulted due to brilliant bowling performance by the Australian quickies. Dravid left for 68  runs and wickets fell tumbling after his departure. Laxman (2), Kohli (11) and Dhoni (6); a lot was expected from these three. Only batsman to hold his nerve and battle out there was Ashwin who managed valuable 31 runs from 35 balls. Hilfenhaus took 5 wickets for 75 runs. Siddle took 3 while Pattinson took 2.

Suddenly the Australians looked on top and the cricket fans speculated an emphatic win for Australia after long time. But Indian bowlers had something else in their minds. In no time Australian scorecard showed 4 down for 27 runs! 3 wickets were bowled and one was leg before wicket. Umesh Yadav has got a dream start in Australia. He took 3 wickets while Ishant had one to his name. Warner was bowled by Yadav for 5. Cowan lbw by Yadav on 8. Marsh again bowled by Yadav for 3 runs. Clarke bowled by Ishant just for 1 runs. He didn't trouble the scorers much.

Australian cricket fans will now have a lot of hopes on experienced Ponting and Hussey as they should anchor the innings towards a respectable and defendable score. MCG pitch is providing a good support to the bowlers so an overall lead of 200 would provide a fight back opportunity for Australian bowlers.

India Vs Australia 1st Test Live Streaming Cricket

Ind Vs Aus 1st Test Live

Update - Aus wins by 122 runs

ESPN STAR provides India Vs Australia live streaming as it is not possible for viewers to be in front of television sets all the time. Live cricket online streaming always stays as a good substitute for online viewers. Let us have a look at how the stage is set up for the Boxing Day test match. This would be the 1st test match of this series.

Australia in a turmoil of transition leaves behind an opening for India to win their first ever test series in India. This is India's 10th test series down under and they are yet to win one. No can now deny that India vs Australia series is now as luring as the Ashes and as crowd pulling as an India Vs Pakistan cricket series.

With the likes of greats such as Sachin, Dravid or Laxman who might be playing their last ever test series in Australia; Indian team certainly serves a dream of winning a test series down under. And their efforts towards this cause should begin right from the 1st test at MCG. Consistency is the key for India this time because most of them are already in good form.

Eyes would be on Sachin who may score his 100th international ton this time. At the same time eyes would also be set on another prolific batsman Ricky Ponting who has faced a lot of criticism for his lost form recently. If he gathers good amount of runs then he may prolong his international career or we may see a great cricketer excluded from the squad very soon.

Indian batting relies a lot on good starts from Sehwag and Gambhir. Middle order looks firm with Sachin, Dravid and Laxman. Lower middle order will have Dhoni and Kohli/Sharma. Bowling department looks a bit worrying with injury to Ishant. Zaheer can be the most dangerous bowler in this series if he can generate some swing with his pace. Spinners like Ashwin and Ojha may shine if the pitch provides some turn alongwith the bounce which is an added advantage for spinners.

MS Dhoni has accumulated a lot of feathers to his cap. He would be itching to get a win here at MCG. Bouncy tracks in Australia can be a worrying factor for India but we can't write off the fact that last two test wins for India down under came on fastest of the pitches.

CA Chairman's XI Vs Indians Warm Up match Streaming Updates - India Vs Australia Practice match

Patience is virtue! 26th December - India meets Australia in Melbourne for a long awaited Boxing Day test match. Just to be firmly prepared for that match, Indians play one more warm up match against Cricket Australia's Chairman's XI. This match will again be played at Canberra.

The first match was a two dayer and this practice match would be a three day match. So an extra day of practice for the Indians. The first match purely belonged to the batsmen. Robinson scored an emphatic 140 plus and Cooper was even more impressive with an unbeaten 182 runs. CA Chairman's XI scored 398 and declared. Doubts were raised again on team India's performance in Australia. But Indian batsmen anchored batting pretty well and scored 320 in reply.

Indian fans were happy to see Sachin in form down under. Sachin scored 92 retired out. Even Laxman scored 57 retired out. Dravid' 45 and Rohit Sharma's 56 came handy. The only Indian bowler who was impressive was Umesh Yadav who was economical and took 3 wickets.

There is a buzz in the Indian camp about the Australian weakness towards swing bowling. After Zaheer Khan it was Rohit Sharma who believes recently the Australian batsmen have face problems facing swing bowling. Rohit Sharma added that India has a good bowling attack to pressurise Australian batting unit.

Indians have got into the groove with one warm up match and the 2nd practice match will give them more idea of the Australian conditions. Also the Indian fans are hoping that Sachin will get to his 100th ton at MCG in the 1st test match.

India Vs Australia Warm Up Match - Indians Vs CA Chairman's XI Practice Match

India Vs Australia 2012 cricket series begins with couple of tour matches. Indians are scheduled to play Cricket Australia Chairman's XI for two practice matches before they begin the actual action from 26th December.

Following are the squads who would feature in the India Vs CA Chariman's XI warm up match:-

Indian squad - MS Dhoni, Sehwag, Ashwin, Dravid, Aaron, Kohli, Gambhir, Mithun, Ojha, Laxman, Saha, Rahane, Sharma, Tendulkar, Yadav

Cricket Australia Chairman's XI squad - Broad, Burns, Boyce, Doolan, Cooper, Haberfield, George, Ludeman, Lalor, Robinson, Solway, Maxwell

Indians were in no mood to repeat their mistake of lack of preparation which they committed in England. So they requested an extra warm up tie in Australia.

The weather here in Canberra looks a bit cloudy and the temperature would range somewhere around 14 Degree Celsius. To heat up things, CA Chairman's XI captain Ryan Broad wishes to unsettle the visiting team in the warm up matches itself. He said that he has no idea what would be the Indian approach for these warm up matches, but his team is surely going to play positive cricket. He would love to bat first if he wins the toss.

Live Cricket Online India Vs West Indies 5th ODI Updates

As we enter into the final stage of India Vs West Indies 2011 cricket series, we have so many things to talk about. Probably this post will run short of words. Ultimately we can say that 4th ODI at Indore was something every Indian cricket fan expected. That was the performance long awaited against a team like West Indies which is not the same we used to observe till the late 80s.

The top order of India which failed miserably in the first 3 ODIs clicked so well in the 4th ODI that all the regrets were left behind. A knock of 219 runs in an ODI is something out of the imagination. Virender Sehwag played as if he owned the ground. He played shots all over the ground with 25 boundaries and 7 sixes! He rewrote the record books.

What should West Indies do now? Agreed they still won't have recovered from the Sehwag shocker, but with one last match to go; they can leave with one more win in their pocket. That could be a huge consolation for them. With so many allrounders in the team, West Indies can surely clinch a win again. One more repeat of Ahmedabad is possible, if they can keep their spirits high.

The Chepauk pitch generally offers a lot of runs but also a bit of turn later on. So anything is possible! No wonders if a captain opts to bat first after winning the toss.

Neo Live Cricket Online Updates - Ind Vs WI 4th ODI

To be honest, the performance of West Indies has been inspirational on this tour. The results won't give you a clear picture, but they have really fought hard to prove their point. They managed to pull one back in Ahmedabad where they registered a win by 16 runs.

It is time now for the 4th ODI which may decide the result if India wins here. If West Indies wins, the series will grow more exciting with the final ODI to be the decider. The visiting teams batting in the death overs have been exceptionally well. One who keeps an eye on their scorecard till the 35th over would feel the score would be average. But if the same person checks the score at the end of 50 overs, he would be surprised to see that the run rate went up to a large extent. This has been a case in all the previously played 3 matches.

India's top order batting woes continues not only for this series but players like Gambhir and Sehwag need to hit form before they land up in Australia facing quickies on the bounciest of pitches. Virat Kohi scored a good ton in the 2nd ODI but he failed in the other two occasions. Raina's form has been dismal and the one day specialist needs to click before any one from the bench strength clinches his place. The star in the Indian batting line up so far has been Rohit Sharma with 3 half centuries on the trot and two scores of 90 plus.

India will play with one change in the squad. Irfan Pathan who is liked by many in India will make a comeback with his good form in Ranji cricket. He will replace Umesh Yadav who may leave early for a down under preparation.

What would be exactly the West Indies game plan? It would certainly be to carry further the winning momentum and build more pressure on the Indian team. Eyes would be set on Sammy, Rampaul, Narine, Roach in the absence of Bravo who is out due to an injury.

This would be first day and night match here in Indore so it is hard to predict how the pitch would behave under lights. Although the pitch is purely flat but the dew factor may come into the frame later.

India go into this match as favourites but who knows? West Indies may pull out another rabbit from their hats!

India Vs West Indies 3rd ODI Live Cricket Online Updates

Live Cricket Online

Indian team never ever looked so dominant at home. In the recent years they have won ODI series comprehensively against teams like Sri Lanka, Australia, England and now its the turn of West Indies. The first two matches are pocketed by India and they march towards Ahmedabad for the 3rd ODI.

Sardar Patel Stadium Aerial View
Sardar Patel Stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad will host this match which would preferably favour the batsmen. India has not enjoyed a very good win loss ratio here. India played 13 and won 6 matches here. But the recent memories for India on this ground are pleasant. India eliminated Australia from the ICC World Cup 2011 earlier this year on this very ground.

In the absence of Sachin, Dhoni, Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Zaheer, Indian team showed glimpses of nervousness in the first two ODIs. India didn't easily cruise to a win in the 1st match. Ravi Rampaul scored a staggering 86 not out being number 10 batsman raising hopes for a Windies win. But the young Kohli and Rohit Sharma turned the tables on and registered a win for India.

The Indian team members whose form is a concern for everyone would be skipper Sehwag, opener Gambhir and Suresh Raina. They should get into the form at the earliest before they find themselves facing the speedsters in Australia where things would be tougher. As far as the bowling is concerned, R Vinay Kumar, Umesh Yadav and R Ashwin have been impressive so far.

The pitch here leaves a very little margin of error for the bowlers. This ground reminds us of the November 2002 match when India chased 300 plus runs against West Indies in a 7 ODI series. If the visiting team doesn't showcase an intense display throughout the match, then the home team looks firm favourites here.

Live Cricket Online Updates - India Vs West Indies 2nd ODI

What would you ideally expect in recent times when a team visits India? Just two things, a one sided match and lack of spectators in the stadium. But aren't there some recent happenings that make this ODI series more interesting? Certainly there are some! The last test match which ended like a nail biter and the first ODI which was again a cliff hanger. Things don't look as easy as Indian team would have speculated.

West Indies is playing as a better unit since the last test match. They are giving a tough time to the Indian team in the limited version of the game also. Now the series moves on to Vishakhapatnam.

The other benefit of this series which writes off the probability of less spectators is the venues. If we don't consider the major venues in India like Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. the other venues host very little International matches, thus attracting more crowd than the bigger venues. Another plus point of this match would be, Vishakhapatnam track is know for 250 plus scores.

India would like to play the winning eleven of Cuttack unless we see some unexpected injuries. Rahane and Tiwary may have to sit out again. Sehwag would like to see more resolute batting from his team as he seemed to be upset with the batting performance. On the other hand West Indies team would be itching to register their first win on this tour and level the series. Stay tuned for another exciting day's play.

Neo Cricket Live - India vs West Indies 1st ODI

Neo Cricket Live telecast of India vs West Indies continues now with the limited version of the game. The hosts are looking to continue their dominance now in the ODIs. After winning the test series 2-0 their confidence is high.

As far as the form at home is concerned, India has won 9 consecutive matches at home after losing one to South Africa in the World Cup. They would love to take this winning streak to a double figure. On the other hand, West Indies showed courage in the last test match and skipper Sammy is happy with their performance. He said he is happy with the spirit of the team as well as the ability to cope up with the fitness issues during a tough cricketing schedule nowadays.

Lack of spectators has been an issue recently in India probably due to overdose of cricket. But today's match would be played in a smaller venue of Cuttack. So we all can expect a "house full". India won't be pitching in a full strength team as few of their senior players have opted for a rest. Sehwag would lead the side in absence of Dhoni. Praveen Kumar missed first 3 matches due to an injury.

India Vs West Indies 3rd Test Live - India aims a Clean Sweep

India Vs West Indies 3rd test kicks off at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. India is desperately looking for a clean sweep. Thanks to Australia winning a cliffhanger against South Africa, India has moved on the second position in ICC Test Rankings, pushing South Africa to the 3rd position. England leads the list of test rankings. A win in Mumbai will further strengthen India's position in the rankings.

A win here means a lot to the home team also in terms of the confidence factor. Before heading towards Australia for a long tour, a 3-0 win would be a confidence booster. Players like Laxman, Dravid, Ojha, Ashwin, Ishant, Sehwag, Gambhir and Yadav have struck form and hopefully they continue this streak in this test match.

West Indies has opted to bat first and has displayed a confident start. Indian bowlers have toiled hard to clinch wickets. But in due course of time, the pitch behaviour will change leading to a completely different scenario. A win here for the West Indies team would be a dream come true. Beating the number 2 team will be a  complimentary gift before they conclude the tour.

India is playing Virat Kohli in place of Yuvraj Singh. Bowling department includes Ashwin, Sharma, Ojha and Aaron. Players worth watching in the visiting team would be Barath, Edwards, Bravo, Sammy, Bishoo and Rampaul. Stay tuned for more live cricket online previews and reviews.

Neo Cricket Live - Ind Vs WI 2nd Test - India Looks for a series win

NEO cricket live streaming telecast of India Vs West Indies test series continues. India is riding high with a win in the 1st test and they are itching to wrap up the series with a win here at Eden Gardens. With all the batsmen contributing well and spinners bowling exceptionally well, Indian team looks favourites.

Sachin Tendulkar is yet to get his 100th International century but he would be the last man thinking of the feat. He would be thinking of a win rather than reaching the milestone. At the same time Eden Gardens would be the best venue to reach this feat or would he chose his home town Mumbai where India plays 3rd test.

If India wins this test series that would be 4 test series wins on the trot against West Indies. A lot depends on Pragyan Ojha and R Ashwin. Not to forget they clinched 16 wickets in total in the 1st test. Darren Sammy is wary of Indian spinners and also the strong batting line up.

A series probably with a white wash will raise the confidence of this team to newer levels before visiting Australia for a long tour.

An Interview With the Indian Spear Head - Zaheer Khan

I still remember my school days when I saw a quick left arm bowling yorkers and disturbing the furniture on the other end of the 22 yard strip. Loads of crests and troughs in his career but ultimately he has reached a position where experts and cricket fans believe he is the spear head of Indian bowling attack in the recent past. And above all there isn't a bowler on the bench who can replace him. Zaheer Khan certainly does feel a discomfort of sitting out of the Indian team due to an injury.

India enjoyed the top position in test cricket since December 2009 but the dream streak ended miserably when the team suffered a white wash in a test series against England earlier this year. The cricketer who must have experienced the biggest pain would be the current most effective Indian bowler Zaheer Khan. Days and nights would have been frustrating for this bowler as he saw his team getting pulverised from the sidelines in England and what he could do was just sit and watch the debacle.

Let us see what he has to say in an interview published in a leading newspaper in India.

Do you hope that you will make into the playing eleven for the series in Australia?

I am not certain about the date of my return. I reckon I need a good amount of time to recover completely. It is a good signal for me that I have started bowling in the nets.

How hard was it for you to see India losing so badly in England?

As a sportsperson I always dread an injury and hence the series started on a very bad note for me. I felt very bad when team lost so miserably and I wasn't there to fulfill my responsibility.

What do you feel about the new young bowlers Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav?

They have kicked off the proceedings pretty well. They need more grooming, proper guidance so that they perform consistently well at the highest level.

Why is it observed in India that when a fast bowler makes an entry to the highest level his bowling speed reduces?

Probably it is something related to the subcontinent conditions and also a pressure to play when you are at the highest level. I can't provide a certain reason for you question but this could also be a reason that slowly they start concentrating more on the line and length rather than the speed.

These are some of the questions I could make a note of from the interview. As this great fast bowler from India flourishes more in his career, we would see more and more such interviews. Let us hope this quickie recovers soon and makes an entry into the team soon. His presence would be a bonus for team India down under when they face a daunting task of playing against the mighty Australians.

Champions League T20 Records

Champions League Twenty20 Records

Let us have a look at some of the Champions League T20 records before the 3rd edition kicks off from 19th September.

Winner for the 1st edition was New South Wales whereas the second edition was clinched by Chennai Super Kings. Highest totals by the teams were topped by Trinidad and Tobaga when they scored 213 runs in 20 overs versus Eagles. This match was played at Hyderabad on 18th October 2009. The second highest total is named to Chennai Super Kings when they scored 200 runs against Wayamba on 15th September 2010 at Centurion. These are the only two scores above 200 in the history of CLT20.

T20 format is well know for huge sixes and when we talk about huge ones, we remember Pollard. He owns maximum number of sixes in CLT20 history. He hit 28 sixes in 9 innings. Surprisingly his number of fours are only 12! Raina and Taylor share the second position with 12 sixes.

The most successful bowler had been Bravo with 16 wickets who has played for Mumbai Indians as well as Trinidad and Tobago. He is followed by McKay who has claimed total 14 wickets playing for Victoria.

The excitement of this T20 series begins from 19th September so don't miss the Champions League T20 live streaming action online.

Champions League T20 News - Gambhir won't feature in the qualifiers

CLT20 News

Kolkata Knight Riders features in the qualifying matches of Champions League T20 2011 but unfortunately their captain Gautam Gambhir will miss the initial round. He sustained an injury due to which he couldn't even play in the ODI series against England.

Kolkata will also miss the services of Eoin Morgan who is also suffering from an injury. Brad Haddin would probably not play as he will be playing the test match against Sri Lanka.

Let us have a look at how Gambhir fared in the later stages of the last IPL T20 tournament. Kolkata fought really hard to make a place in the final stages but somehow failed. If we consider the last 5 innings of Gautam Gambhir his individual scores were 4, 8, 54, 7 and 16. The only good score was 54 not out which came against Pune in Mumbai. Kolkata won that match by 7 wickets with 20 balls in hand.

Cricket fans are eager to see this adeptable batsman who would flourish in any form of cricket. Cricket fans pray for his speedy recovery as even the Indian national team needs his presence to regain the lost form.

Champions League T20 2011 Live Streaming Cricket

Champions League T20 2011 Live Cricket Streaming

Champions League T20 2011 live streaming will continue this year also on Youtube as it was served last year also. The coverage with online streaming has been excellent and it has been a helpful resource for cricket fans who are away from the television sets.

Champions League T20 2011 qualifiers begin from 19th September and they will continue till 21st September. This would be followed by the main matches where the league will continue till 9th of October. The schedule implies a long T20 league again to entertain cricket fans with a shorter version of this game. Total matches to be played will be 29 which is again a T20 cricket fest.

Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions and MS Dhoni is the captain. He has been one of the most successful captains in current cricket world. World cup win is certainly his biggest achievement. But after world cup the team has seen a huge drop in performances. Hopefully this doesn't play a negativity in his mind while he leads Chennai Super Kings.

With players and teams from around the world, this league purely is a clash of champions. So a tough competition is certainly expected which in turn promises good cricket.

  • SL Board Eleven drew the match against the Australians. Highlights of this match were a century from Michael Clarke and Thirimanne.
  • Kevin Pietersen scored highest number of runs in the test series against India. But to decrease the work load, England has decided to give him a rest from the ODI series. Stokes is included in the ODI squad whereas Hales and Butler get a chance in the T20 squad.

Live Cricket Online - Day 4 England approaching another win

Live Cricket Online

England is approaching a win here at Trent Bridge. A target of 478 is almost impossible to chase. And England has bowled well enough to restrict India. Bell was impressive with a ton and the lower order contributed pretty well and quick to post a big total.

India has started their innings disappointingly and lost valuable wickets of Dravid, Laxman, Mukund and Raina. It would be impractical to say that India can pull a rabbit out of the hat and register a win here. Even survival till the end of 5th day to draw the match looks impossible.

The turning point of the match was the exceptional spell of Broad on 2nd day. India looked comfortably in the driver's seat but Broad took a hat-trick and turned the tables on.

Saturday 30 July 2011

Live Cricket Online - Day 3 Indian bowlers need to restrict England to a lower total

Live Cricket Online - Day 3

India Vs England live cricket online action continues as the 2nd test enters an interesting stage. Things look pretty balanced after two days. India had an upper hand till the last session, thanks to an excellent century from Dravid. But Stuart Broad's astonishing spell landed India in deep trouble and India could just manage a lead of 67 (once which looked might reach 125).

Stuart Broad registered his best bowling figures of 6/46 which also included a hat-trick. English crowd was delighted in the end, solely due to Broad's bowling. Dravid's tally of centuries now reaches 34 and he stands on the fourth position for highest number of test centuries.

Day 3 promises an enthralling cricket action when England would look ahead to score big and lead more. India would battle it out to bundle the England wickets quickly and then chase an achievable target.

Live Cricket Online - Day 2 India looking to register a good lead

Live Cricket Online Day 2

Will Trent Bridge test match write another story of a great comeback by this India team. Looks possible. All depends on how well the Indian batsmen score today. Indian team is already under scanner due to a loss in 1st test and injury hit squad. In absence of Gambhir and Zaheer; Indians are expected to struggle more in this test.

1st Day could be proportianly divided as 65 percent to India and 35 percent to England. Stuart Broad saved England innings by his half century or it was most likely that they were bundled out under 175. England reached 221 before being bowled out.

Indians should not feel complacent because this pitch has a tough record for the batsmen. It is almost similar to Sabina Park in West Indies where bowlers purely dominate the proceedings of cricket. The only formula that India has to adapt will be staying for a longer time on the pitch and keep the score card rolling. This would not only help them to accumalate runs but it would help them to frustrate the England bowlers.

India Vs England Live Streaming Cricket 2011

India Vs England Live Streaming

India Vs England Live Streaming continues as the second test has already begun at Trent Bridge. Indian bowlers have impressed to a better level in this test. India had clinched 8 wickets below a score of 150 by England. Broad scored a lightning half century to take England 221 final score.

India had a shaky started as they lost Mukund earlier. Dravid and Laxman are playing in and we hope they dont' get complacent after that. India needs a couple of big partnership which can take them to a lead of atleast 150 runs.

After this India has to play two more test matches, 1 T20 and 5 ODIs. So the excitement would continue with another versions of this game followed by test series. Enjoy India Vs England live streaming online.

Live Cricket Online - India Vs England 2nd Test

Live Cricket Online

India Vs England 2nd test has already begun at Trent Bridge. Again India won the toss and put England to bat in. The start has been very similar to the 1st test. England has begun the proceedings slowly with a cautious start. Similar to the 1st test, they have lost the wicket of Cook early.

Gambhir and Zaheer Khan won't be playing the 2nd test. This is a big blow for India. As a replacement, they have included Yuvraj Singh and Sreesanth. For England, Bresnan is included in place of Tremlett who suffered a hamstring injury.

Dravid will open for India instead of Gambhir. Laxman can bat on no.3 and Yuvraj will be a part of middle order with Raina and Dhoni. Sachin will bat at no.4

This match would be interesting as England would play for a win as they serve a dream of becoming the top team in Test Cricket. Currently they are lagging behind few points from India who currently holds the top spot in ICC Test Rankings.

Live Cricket Online - Day 5 India aims to save the match

Live Cricket Online - Day 5

With a 162 runs stand between Prior and Broad, India was set a daunting target of 458. With the likes of Dravid and Laxman, India managed 80 for 1 at stumps on day 4. Now the stage is set. In a maximum quota of 98 overs, England needs 9 wickets to win. India needs another 378 runs to win. But it is more likely that India will play for a draw.

The onus depends on two great batsmen who have saved India many a times in the past. They are none other than Dravid and Laxman. A pure test of how patiently Indian batsmen head from here and to what extent they can't fight the battle of survival.

Ishant Sharma and Matt Prior were two stars for day 4. Sharma was brilliant with his line and length and he trouble England batsmen to the max. Similarly when Prior walked in, England were 60 odd for 5 wickets. He scored a ton and anchored England innings to a big lead. Let us see who would be the stars for day 5 where England would strive for a win and India would strive for a draw!

Live Cricket Online - Day 4 England aims to pile up runs

Live Cricket Online - Day 4

As we enter Day 4 of 1st test between India and England, speculations are coming to an end. At this juncture, England certainly looks favourite to win this match. The only other possible result here could be a draw. Things can't be simpler than this for England. With a big lead already in pocket and two more days to go, England can afford to play another 2 sessions and quickly grab as many runs as possible.

England should look at a total of 350 to put India bat in. A bowling of 15 odd overs today in the last session would be good enough to put tons of pressure on Indian batting line up. Before that things also depend on how good Indians would bowl to stop the runs flow.

Day 3 should be completely dedicated to the heroics of Rahul Dravid. Quick bowlers? Overcast conditions? Pressure of 474 runs? Movement in the air? Nothing hampers his concentrations. He stood tall unbreached like a Wall! He was unbeaten on a century where other Indian batsmen couldn't survive. His efforts assisted India to avoid the follow on.

Live Cricket Online - Day 3 India looks for big partnerships

Live Cricket Online - Day 3

In the last post we mentioned India should not allow England to capitalise. Yes Praveen Kumar tried his best and also grabbed 5 important wickets. But Kevin Pietersen didn't allow Indian bowlers to settle down. He smashed a brilliant double century to take England to 474! It is now the turn of Indian batsmen to showcase similar feat.

Cricket fans are anticipating a ton from Sachin which would also be his 100th International century. We all know that he has rewritten record books with his never ending feats in cricket. Everything looks scripted for him as he would probably bat today for another milestone.

Apart from Sachin, other stars like Dravid, Gambhir, Laxman, Raina, etc would love to settle down and score big. India badly need good partnerships to anchor innings towards a matching total of 474. Certainly the trio of England viz. Tremlett, Anderson and Broad won't allow this cause but Indian batsmen need to resist.

Live cricket online udpates continue as Day 3 at Lord's brings another enthralling day of cricket.

Live Cricket Online - Day 2 - India needs to restrict England before they capitalise

Live Cricket Online - India Vs England Day 2

Mend the broken before its too late! Indians already lost couple of chances yesterday and to add to it Zaheer may not bowl today. Things aren't going the easier way for India. Apart from that, slowly but steadily England is piling up runs on the board.

Day 2, MS Dhoni has been impressive with his field settings. But he needs good amount of support from his bowlers. A sort of killer instinct is obligatory to put extra pressure of Pietersen, Bell and company. First session -  India clinched the wicket of Trott. And things should keep moving the same way.

England would be looking for a big score without any hurry. The plan would be to put pressure on Indian strong batting line up with a big score through a strict bowling performance by Anderson, Broad, Swann and others. Speculations can be many! Only live cricket online action can reveal the answers to our speculations. Stay tuned and enjoy some great cricket action from Lord's.

These two teams have played each other 99 teams in test cricket. But this time the excitement is different and fresh. Reason being these two teams were never so equally matched before. This test series marks a seamless amalgamation of young as well as experienced cricketers. India Vs England 2011 - Indian Test Squad

Live Cricket Online

After the conclusion of West Indies tour, now India heads towards England. The tour begins with a 3 day match against Somerset. This will be followed by 4 test matches, 1 T20 and 5 ODIs. The first test will be played at the home of cricket; the Lord's which is also the 2000th test match. Eyes would be set on Sachin Tendulkar who has an opportunity to score his 100th ton here.

The big names were missing in the West Indies tour which included Sehwag, Sachin, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Zaheer, etc. They all make a roaring comeback in the tour to England. Although Sehwag isn't completely fit but he will play from the second or the third test. It all depends on his fitness. Meanwhile all the other big names are fit now and all set to play.

This is how the Indian test squad looks:-
MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Abhinav Mukund, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra, Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, Ishant Sharma

Watch Live Cricket Online - India looks for a win on final day of final test

Live Cricket Online - Ind Vs WI

After India posted a lead of 140 plus, West Indies wickets again tumbled against the disciplined bowling attack of India. Then came Chanderpaul and the debutant Kirk Edwards to the rescue. Edwards hit a ton on his debut as he scored 110 before falling to Harbhajan Singh.

Chanderpaul stays unbeaten with 73 at the start of day 5. West Indies would begin day 5 with 224 runs on scorecard. They lead by 81 runs but they have already lost 6 wickets. If India could manage to clean up the remaining batsmen in 50 odd runs, then they certainly eye a win here.

After losing more than 100 overs due to rain, day 3 and 4 have observed full day's play. So hopefully if we get a full day's play today, a result looks certain. By the way something to cheer about for Harbhajan as he took 3 wickets at the end of day 4. On day 5 he would expect a couple more.

Live Cricket Online - India Vs West Indies 3rd Test

Third test begins between India and West Indies. This test gives an opportunity for both the teams to play for pride. In the long history of test cricket, India has won only two test series in India with a margin of 1-0. This tour gives them an opportunity to seal the series 2-0. Also this could be India's first tour of West Indies which will end in a ODI as well as Test series win.

West Indies has a glorious past of cricket. They are competing against the current test champions. They will play for pride to display the best they have in terms of cricket and level the series. To do this they have to overcome their batting woes. Bowling has been up to the mark.

Concerns for India are the opening batsmen. But they have solutions as well. Murali and Mukund can be replaced by Parthiv Patel and Badrinath. Similarly Mithun as a bowler can be replaced by Munaf looking at the bouncy track of Dominica.

India Vs West Indies 2nd Test Begins Today - Watch Live Cricket Online

Watch Live Cricket Online

India plays against West Indies at Barbados today. This has been a hunting ground for West Indies as India lost 7 out of 8 times here. Things have changed a lot though after that. India has climbed up to be test champions from almost two years. They have a much stronger side now although their star cricketers like Sehwag, Gambhir, Sachin, Zaheer and Yuvraj are absent.

India has never won two consecutive test matches in West Indies. Another opportunity for the record skipper Dhoni to make a mark here. We can't write off West Indies because against Pakistan they bounced back to level the series. Also 85 for 6 against India in first innings was something they missed out to capitalise.

On one hand the West Indies team still misses the services of Chris Gayle, meanwhile team under Dhoni is raring to go on and win this test match for a 2-0 lead over the hosts.

England Vs Sri Lanka Live Cricket Online - 1st ODI

Live Cricket Online - SL Vs Eng

The inform England test cricket opener Alastair Cook will debut as an ODI captain today. It was difficult for him to find a place in ODI team with a strike rate of 71 and an average of about 33. But nothing better than playing as a skipper for England. This came as a part of having different skippers for all the three formats of the game. Recently concluded T20 match has Stuart Broad as captain. England lost that match to Sri Lanka.

England would be itching to take a revenge of World Cup 2011 quarter finals where they were eliminated by Sri Lanka. Probably Sri Lanka will again be captained by Kandamby as Dilshan looks unfit.

Tim Bresnan comes into the England side again thus strengthening the bowling department. Sanath Jayasuriya is surely a fear factor for England today at the Oval. Quick bowlers would enjoy the bounce of the Oval track.

Sri Lanka Vs England T20 Live Cricket Online

Live Cricket Online

Enjoy live cricket online streaming options as Sri Lanka now begins its limited overs campaign after losing the test series 0-1 to England. Two captains Stuart Broad and Thilan Kandamby are making their debuts as captains. This adds up to the excitement.

Stuart Broad is confident about his new role as T20 captain and is hopeful that the England team continues its good form. Kandamby with the support of Sangakkara, Jayasuriya and Jayawardene feels comfortable in the new responsibility.

The weather could be cloudy but would be dry throughout the day. Sri Lankans would be wary of the bounce  of Bristol pitch; but they now have Lasith Malinga in their bowling line up who can take full advantage of this situation. Although England starts as favourites, Sri Lanka is no less now in the presence of the veteran Jayasuriya and the unplayable Malinga.

Live Cricket Online - India Vs West Indies 1st test heading towards an interesting finish

At the end of Day 3, we can surely make out that the 1st test between India and West Indies is heading towards an interesting finish. Striving hard against the uneven bounce and turn of Sabina Park pitch; Rahul Dravid played another remarkable knock. He scored his 32nd century to take India to a total of 252. The overall lead over West Indies reached 326.

The match turned out to be interesting when West Indies counter attacked with positive batting since the start. Stumps at Day 3 showcased West Indies standing at 131 for 3 with Bravo and Chanderpaul batting. Things can swing either ways but at this juncture the match is in India's favour.

Day 4 will surely be the result day for this test match. West Indies needs a big partnership or two as they still need 195 runs with 7 wickets in hand.

Live Cricket Online - India Vs West Indies 1st Test Match

Live Cricket Online

Enjoy live cricket online streaming as the first test between India and West Indies begins. The test champions India take on a struggling team West Indies. The back to back wins in the ODI series to decrease the margin of series loss has slightly boosted the confidence of West Indies. They can enter the test series with a bit of psychological advantage over India.

Indian team will miss the services of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan and S Sreesanth. Good news for the second string team that played in the ODI series is that MS Dhoni, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid are back for the test matches. This trio adds a lot of experience and strength to the team.

Injury woes have further continued for India as Munaf Patel and Murali Vijay are doubtful for the 1st test. It looks like India currently has only two fit pace bowlers for the 1st test viz. Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma. Sabina Park has a bouncy track so another quick bowler could have been an added advantage for team India.

Although India certainly looks a much stronger side but the home team can fancy their chances to beat the test champions because India is not pitching in their strongest eleven and West Indies also has the home advantage.

Live Cricket Online - England Vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test

Live Cricket Online - Eng Vs SL

Enjoy live cricket online streaming of the 3rd and final test between England and Sri Lanka. This match will be played at Rose Bowl. Finally the beautiful stadium of Rose Bowl hosts a test match. One can easily expect a riveting contest between both the teams as both of them are hungry for success.

England leads series 1-0 and a loss year would level the series. Win for Sri Lanka would be a huge confidence booster. We shouldn't forget the biggest setback for Sri Lanka in this test match will be the absence of Dilshan. He captained the side in first two test matches and is also the leading run scorer for Sri Lanka. Due to an injured thumb he won't be playing in this test match. So the side would now be head by the reluctant Kumar Sangakkara.

James Anderson's comeback into international test cricket would be a huge benefit for the home team. His return also indicates that either Finn or Broad will be dropped from the playing eleven. Overall a tough tussle to be enjoyed at the Rose Bowl from today.

Yuvraj Singh has to say something

Live Cricket Online

Yuvraj Singh - The player who was criticized majorly for his inconsistency in cricket now proudly stands as the player of the tournament in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2011. He also captained the Pune Warriors in IPL 2011 was wasn't successful in making it to the knock out stages.

He was happy about the success of Chennai Super Kings when they retained the title beating Royal Challengers Bangalore in the finals of IPL. Yuvraj was pretty confident about CSK's chances this time as he added saying that CSK is led by a man called MS Dhoni who doesn't like to lose finals. He also loved the fact that CSK retained most of their players in this year's IPL auction and this helps in long term goal settings.

About the upcoming India Vs West Indies 2011 series, he was sad as he had to opt out. After going through some scans, doctors advised him to rest as the reports suggested a lung infection. He added saying that this was the first opportunity for the team members to play as World Champions. So he is obviously sad to miss the tour.

The way Yuvraj Singh performed in the World Cup, was certainly the biggest factor in India's triumph. So his services are surely going to be missed by the Indian squad for West Indies tour. Hopefully he joins back the team for the England tour later this July.

Live Cricket Online - Ind Vs WI 2011

Recently concluded IPL was just enthralling. The dominance of CSK continues in T20 cricket as they retain their title and not to forget they also hold the Champions League. If we talk about international cricket, apart from the ongoing Sri Lanka Vs England series, one more series embarks on this June viz India Vs West Indies.

Initially it was decided that Gautam Gambhir would lead Indian team in the T20 and ODI matches. But lately due to an injury even he is ruled out. According to the recent news, the depleted Indian squad will be lead in ODIs by Suresh Raina where as the vice captain would be Harbhajan Singh. Ashwin, Badrinath, Kohli, Vinay Kumar, Manoj Tiwary, Pravin Kumar, Yusuf Pathan, Saha, Ishant Sharma, Munaf Patel, Amit Mishra would be a part of the limited overs cricket squad.

Disappointing four key players Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir won't be featuring in the whole tour. MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman will play in the test series. Abhinav Mukund and Badrinath are included in the test squad.

IPL 2011 grows exciting with every match

IPL 2011 Live Cricket Online

As IPL approaches its conclusion, the excitement grows ball by ball. The reason being simple. This year we are fortunate enough to see tussles in matches at the end as teams are still battling out to reach the play off stage. RCB has already made into the play offs. CSK, MI and KKR are currently placed on 2nd, 3rd and 4th position.

CSK's win against KTK today can take them at the apex and hence a seat in play offs. KTK's win today (and a big win today) can keep their faint hopes alive of making it into the next round. Similar is the case of KXIP. They defeated RCB yesterday comprehensively keeping their hopes alive. But both KTK and KXIP are depending on things like the other teams should lose their remaining matches (especially KKR).

If we look at the overall scenario, still RCB, CSK, MI and KKR look favourites to make it into the next stage. But as we all know the uncertainty of this game, we can even see a striving team like KTK or KXIP toppling one of four in points tally to reach play offs.

Kochi Vs Punjab Turns Out To Be High Scoring

Kochi Vs Punjab Live

Kochi Tuskers manages a big total on the board as they scored 178 at the loss of 7 wickets. Thanks to the openeres McCullum and Jayawardene, the innings got an ideal start. An opening partnership of 93 runs in T20 cricket is undoubtedly good. McCullum fell for 32 whereas Jayawardene scored 76.

Only other big contribution came from Owais Shah who scored 23. As a reply to this big total, Punjab has maintained the required run rate. Gilchrist fell early for 9. Valthaty was bowled by Singh for 17. But the man in form Marsh has anchored the innings well with Karthik.

Punjab is currently on the second last position of the points tally where as Kochi is on 6th position. With very few matches to go, teams are striving hard to accumulate as many points as possible to make into the final four.

Pakistan Vs West Indies Test Series News

Live Cricket Online News
An over intake of limited version of cricket has now resulted in a longing for the test cricket. World Cup was followed by Australia - Bangladesh ODI series and Pakistan - West Indies ODI series. After almost four long months cricket fans will see test cricket back into action.

First test between Pakistan and West Indies is to be played from 12th to 16th May. We all should agree that Pakistan never had a better chance than this to clinch a test series in West Indies. The most important point to be noted here is that Pakistan has never won a test series in West Indies.

Two local players from Guyana will feature in this test match viz. Chanderpaul and  Bishoo. After being dropped out from the ODI team, Chanderpaul has retained his place in the test team. Let us see how good the team performs in the absence of Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo. Notably Chris Gayle is in limelight through his batting performances in the ongoing IPL where he is in great form.

Update on Sri Lanka's tour of England 2011

Here is another update on Sri Lanka's tour of England. There had been a lot of speculations about when would the Sri Lankan players featuring in IPL join the national team for the preparations of England tour. Atleast for the captain, Tillakaratne Dilshan the date is fixed now.

He will leave Indian Premiere League a bit early and join Sri Lankan team in England on 11th of May. He will feature in the tour match against Middlesex. He will miss the last 4 matches and also the knockout matches if Royal Challengers Bangalore manages to get into the knockouts.

Sri Lanka plays Middlesex on 14th May. Then they play England Lions from 19th May.

The 1st test begins from 26th May at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff.

The home of cricket, The Lord's hosts the second test from 3rd June while Rose Bowl finally gets an opportunity to host a test match from 16th June.

A look at the Latest ICC Rankings

ICC Rankings gives us an indication of team's standings in various forms of cricket which includes Test and One Day Cricket. Let us have a look at the current ICC Team Rankings for Test and ODI cricket:-

The table above shows:-
India is far ahead than South Africa in the Test Rankings. India is scheduled to play West Indies and then England this year in test cricket. So they have a good opportunity to keep this lead alive.

Similarly in ODI cricket, Australia leads India by 8 points. The lead of Australia was good enough in advance that even if India won the World Cup, they couldn't manage to topple Australia in the ODI rankings.

Live cricket online news will keep you updated with latest changes in the ICC rankings.

Elton Chigumbura wishes to step down as Zimbabwe Captain

This isn't something new right? We have seen people's own form suffered after being the captain of a side. Similar is the case of Elton Chigumbura. He has expressed his wish to step down as the captain of Zimbabwean cricket team. The final decision would come out in next few days.

He said his primary task in the team is to bat and bowl well. But in the last few months his batting and bowling has been suffered because the captaincy is a demanding role. He succeeded as a captain against Sri Lanka and India back home in an ODI series where Zimbabwe lost in the finals. But considering the World Cup which was recently concluded, Zimababwe's performance was disappointing. So was the form of Chigumbura.

He also said that he needs to regain is form playing under someone else. This will not only help him but also the team as a whole.
