Live Cricket Online - Day 5 India aims to save the match

Live Cricket Online - Day 5

With a 162 runs stand between Prior and Broad, India was set a daunting target of 458. With the likes of Dravid and Laxman, India managed 80 for 1 at stumps on day 4. Now the stage is set. In a maximum quota of 98 overs, England needs 9 wickets to win. India needs another 378 runs to win. But it is more likely that India will play for a draw.

The onus depends on two great batsmen who have saved India many a times in the past. They are none other than Dravid and Laxman. A pure test of how patiently Indian batsmen head from here and to what extent they can't fight the battle of survival.

Ishant Sharma and Matt Prior were two stars for day 4. Sharma was brilliant with his line and length and he trouble England batsmen to the max. Similarly when Prior walked in, England were 60 odd for 5 wickets. He scored a ton and anchored England innings to a big lead. Let us see who would be the stars for day 5 where England would strive for a win and India would strive for a draw!
