Australia Vs Srilanka Live Streaming - 2nd Final of CB Series

Australia Vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Match Update: Srilanka beats Australia to level the finals 1-1

Australia is on the verge of another series win under the captaincy of Michael Clarke as they take on Srilanka in the 2nd final here at Adelaide Oval. Australia clinched a narrow hard fought win against Srilanka two days ago. It was merely a 15 runs win where the match could have swinged either ways but finally Australia emerged as the winner; thanks to a brilliant ton from David Warner.

Australia would be wary of their bowling attack which looked pretty consistent till the last match but they leaked away runs heavily in death overs and turned a comfortable win into a hard fought one. Pattinson and Hilfenhaus gave away more than 90 runs in nine overs, which compelled Clarke to hand over the bowling to David Hussey. Although David Hussey couldn't score runs but he managed to claim 4 Lankan wickets.

Doubts are served on Warner's availability for this match due to an injury. If he doesn't play, Peter Forrest may get an opportunity. Shane Watson may then have to open the innings. McKay may repleace Hilfenhaus.

Srilankan bolwer Malinga stands tall with most number of wickets in CB Series but he is also the bowler with highest economy rate. He needs to control runs flowing from his own bowling. Angelo Matthews plays a nice all rounder role in the team and if he can recover from his injury, he could be a good addition to the team.

Again a lot would be expected from the batting trio of Dilshan, Sangakkara and Jayawardene. Chandimal who has been a lot consistent needs to click in the 2nd final to give Srilanka a stronger base in posting a big total. Weather looks clear and pitch seems to be batting friendly with more support to the spinners.

CB Series 1st Final Live Streaming - Australia Vs Srilanka

CB Series 1st Final Live Streaming

After a long month of CB Series finally we have reached the finals. The format of this tri series allows three finals where the team which wins 2 out of 3 finals would lift the cup! Srilanka will take on Australia in the first final at Brisbane and provide us a cricketing treat on Sunday. India has headed home with a disappointing tour ends with an elimination from the tri series. India would get few more days to prepare for the Asia cup which begins after the conclusion of CB series.

Sri Lanka begin this series badly with two losses but the put their feet on the accelerator on the right time. They defeated Australia thrice and managed to beat India once and accumulate enough points to make it to the finals. Srilanka has come out with flying colours under the captaincy of Mahela Jayawardene and now the whole team looks in form. The only worrying factor so far was Sangakkara but he has batted well in last two matches.

Lasith Malinga is the leading wicket taker so far and if we minus is performance against India at Hobart; he has been too good. Chandimal has been very impressive in the middle order and Srilanka has lately received good starts from Dilshan.

Consistency is still a problem for Australia. They managed to beat India more than Srilanka and so far they haven't proved to be a dominant unit. Clarke has been unfit and Watson so far hasn't clicked too well. Forrest, Christian and Hussey brothers have played their roles upto the mark. Bowling department looks rusty at times and lacks consistency.

Pitch here at Gabba has so far provided us high scoring matches in CB series. So good news for the viewers as we can expect CB series 1st final to be a high scoring match. At the same time the bowlers would get a good bounce on this track. Australia will come hard at Srilanka whereas Srilanka has to just to continue playing well just like they have done so far against Australia in this tri series.

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 12

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming 1st Final

Things aren't as complicated now as it were when India played Srilanka in the last match at Hobart. Australia plays Srilanka here at Melbourne with a pretty simple equation. Australia is already into the finals. India has pulled a rabbit out of their hat to still stay alive in the series by scoring 321 in their last match against Srilanka in less than 37 overs! And if Srilanka wins against Australia here at Melbourne they will play Australia in 'best of three' finals. And if they lose, India plays Australia in the finals.

India can now relax or shop or spend their time doing something off the cricket as their fate of reaching the finals now rests on the result of this match. Australia is led by Shane Watson who looked impressive in last match against India. Selectors may opt to rest Clarke for one more match before playing the finals. James Pattinson is recalled in to the squad. Even McKay and Christian would try to make the most out of this match to prove their worth for the finals.

Srilanka looked a comfortable team in second half of this CB Series before they were thumped by India at Hobart. Virat Kohli played the innings of his life where India faced a dauting 321 runs target and to win a bonus point this target had to be achieved within 40 overs! Malinga who is one of the most feared fast bowlers in the world, gave away 96 runs and he may never forget the 24 runs over when Kohli smashed his balls all over the park.

Srilanka did hard to reach World Cup finals but lost to India. Since then they have played well in patches. They need to be consistent with their wins. Sangakarra regained his form at Hobart with a ton and Dilshan was a delight to watch as he scored 150 plus. These two batsmen shared a huge partnership in a lost cause. They need to continue from where they left their innings at Hobart.

Seems to be a clean day of match and no chances of rain interruption. Bowlers would enjoy the bounce on this MCG track which may put batsmen in uncomfortable situation. Overall proves to be a match worth watch, especially for Indian cricket fans!

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 11

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Target For India - 321, India chases it in just 36.4 overs to register a win with bonus points. India keeps their hope for final berth alive.

India faces Srilanka in their last match in this CB Series, if they can't make it to the final. Australia has already made it to the finals and Srilanka looks the second team to make it. India has a very slim chance if they beat Srilanka with a bonus point and if Australia beats Srilanka in the last round robin match. India has allowed to leak matches in the second half of this CB Series whereas Srilanka is on a rise in the second half.

India's loss against Australia was disappointing and India can't take any positives from that game. Sachin was run out when he was looking good. Sehwag is probably in his worst form ever and he may have to sit out if he doesn't bat well in  near future. Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina have looked impressive at times but they were always unable to convert their starts into a long innings.

Indian bowling looked impressive in patches. In couple of matches they leaked  more than 90 runs in death overs and at times they bowled tight to give away nothing. The most likely change in bowling department seems to be Ravindra Jadeja making way for tall leg spinner Rahul Sharma.

Srilanka has clinched victories on perfect time and they have an easier way to make into the finals rather than India. So they have an upper hand in this match. Srilanka would hardly opt for a change in their winning eleven. Every player is playing his part upto the mark. The only concern so far has been Sangakkara who comes high in big matches. He seems to have kept his role reserved for the finals.

Considering the scores in last match here, the pitch looks a batting paradise. There might be light showers but that won't harm the play to a large extent. Indian fans are hoping for a miracle here from their out of form team whereas Srilankan team looks relaxed and in the driver's seat.

India vs Australia Live Streaming - CB Series Match 10

India vs Australia Live Streaming

We have seen a lot of see-saw in individual forms in last couple of months. A batsman scores 219 in an ODI fails in the whole tour to Australia (Virender Sehwag). A batsman who answers all his critics and scores tons in test series fails to score a double figure in 5 ODIs on the trot and has to quit his ODI career (Ricky Ponting). Similar we have seen see-saw performances in teams. Sri Lanka was the slowest starter in this CB Series and now they are on top of points tally. Australia win few and lost few and hanging in between. India topped the table half way mark find themselves at the bottom and also in do-or-die situation. These things make cricket interesting!

Apart from bad form the Indian team is also suffering from "rifts" amongst the players. At this juncture only thing needed from the team is an inspirational win somehow to regain the lost form and make it to the finals. Will Virender Sehwag or Sachin Tendulkar struck form before its too late? This still remains to be an important question unanswered so far!

Keeping aside the rotation policy the team has to go ahead with the trio of Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir. Dhoni will add strength to the middle order alongwith Virat Kohli and Raina. Also bowling selection would be a headache for Dhoni this time as in last two matches the Indian bowlers leaked more than 90 runs in last 10 overs.

Australian team also plays under pressure as they lost against Srilanka inspite of scoring well. Thus their bowling comes under scanner this time. Forrest scored a brilliant ton but in vain due to the loss. David Warner is yet to click and he is a worry for the team as far as ODI format is concerned. In case Clarke is unfit for the game, we may see Watson coming into the playing eleven for Australia.

Sydney cricket ground hasn't proved to be too lucky for Indians. This might be a low scoring game where bowler's success may come into picture. Overall a hard working day for the batsmen and tougher one for those who are not in form!

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 9

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming - 1st Final

Australia plays its first ODI in post Ponting era as he is axed from the ODI squad and Ponting thinks its an end to his ODI career. On the other hand Sri Lanka is on a rise after two good wins. The tri series is slowly moving towards the final stages so this would be a good match to decide which of these two are more firm to reach finals.

Shane Watson makes a come back as vice captain of Australia. He can come handy with his quick bowling and batting. Australia would more or less follow the same combination in the team which helped them win a game against India.

Srilanka has flourished with good cricketing display from players like Angelo Matthews, Farveez Maharoof, Lahiru Thirimanne and many more to name. Last two matches for Srilanka have been exceptionally well and the only thing they need to concentrate on is the winning consistency. A bad loss can turn tables on a particular team in this CB Series format.

Clarke's prime focus would be to keep the team united after omission of Ricky Ponting. If Watson will be played probably someone like Christian will have to make way for him. Srilanka may not look to make any major changes in their winning combination so far.

Pitch here at Hobart will primarily support the fast bowlers and provide a true bounce which will also help the batsmen to time the ball well. Srilanka have played Australia once in Hobart and registered a win (in 1999).

Srilanka vs India Live - CB Series Match 8

Srilanka vs India Live

Match Update - Srilanka beats India by 51 runs

Just couple of days ago India was on the top of points table but the narrow margin between the three teams was always a threat for the top team. India lost badly to Australia and conceded a bonus point too. Now India takes on Srilanka at Gabba. This is the same pitch where India lost to Australia. The team that tops the points table now is Australia with 14 points and a net run rate of +0.43, followed by India 10 points and a net run rate of -0.67 (worst among the three). Srilanka is on the third position with 7 points and a net run rate of +0.32. Srilanka has one win, a tie and a bonus point and they have played a match lesser than the other two. So if they manage a win here, they would topple India to clinch the second position.

MS Dhoni who has been the best batsman for India in this CB series 2012 is banned for a match due to slow over rate in the last match. India generally doesn't play 4 pacers at a time. They experimented this at Gabba in the last match and fell short of time to complete their quota of 50 overs. The same experiment this time would be harmful. Also India may have to play with Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir together out of which there are fitness concerns for Sachin and Sehwag.

Srilanka looks to be a more balanced side now after an emphatic win over Australia. Skipper Jayawardene whose form was a concern; scored a half century in last match to regain his lost form.  We may not see any major changes in the Srilankan playing eleven. Probabilities are high that they would pitch in more pacers this time. Absence of Dhoni is a big worry for India but Sri Lanka won't take them lightly.

Gabba hasn't produced good results for Srilanka so far but this is a good opportunity for them to better their record as India is under immense pressure with fitness issues and absence of their captain cool MS Dhoni. This would make this match another competitive face off and a worth watch for all the cricket fans.
