Australia Vs Srilanka Live Streaming - 2nd Final of CB Series

Australia Vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Match Update: Srilanka beats Australia to level the finals 1-1

Australia is on the verge of another series win under the captaincy of Michael Clarke as they take on Srilanka in the 2nd final here at Adelaide Oval. Australia clinched a narrow hard fought win against Srilanka two days ago. It was merely a 15 runs win where the match could have swinged either ways but finally Australia emerged as the winner; thanks to a brilliant ton from David Warner.

Australia would be wary of their bowling attack which looked pretty consistent till the last match but they leaked away runs heavily in death overs and turned a comfortable win into a hard fought one. Pattinson and Hilfenhaus gave away more than 90 runs in nine overs, which compelled Clarke to hand over the bowling to David Hussey. Although David Hussey couldn't score runs but he managed to claim 4 Lankan wickets.

Doubts are served on Warner's availability for this match due to an injury. If he doesn't play, Peter Forrest may get an opportunity. Shane Watson may then have to open the innings. McKay may repleace Hilfenhaus.

Srilankan bolwer Malinga stands tall with most number of wickets in CB Series but he is also the bowler with highest economy rate. He needs to control runs flowing from his own bowling. Angelo Matthews plays a nice all rounder role in the team and if he can recover from his injury, he could be a good addition to the team.

Again a lot would be expected from the batting trio of Dilshan, Sangakkara and Jayawardene. Chandimal who has been a lot consistent needs to click in the 2nd final to give Srilanka a stronger base in posting a big total. Weather looks clear and pitch seems to be batting friendly with more support to the spinners.

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 11

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Target For India - 321, India chases it in just 36.4 overs to register a win with bonus points. India keeps their hope for final berth alive.

India faces Srilanka in their last match in this CB Series, if they can't make it to the final. Australia has already made it to the finals and Srilanka looks the second team to make it. India has a very slim chance if they beat Srilanka with a bonus point and if Australia beats Srilanka in the last round robin match. India has allowed to leak matches in the second half of this CB Series whereas Srilanka is on a rise in the second half.

India's loss against Australia was disappointing and India can't take any positives from that game. Sachin was run out when he was looking good. Sehwag is probably in his worst form ever and he may have to sit out if he doesn't bat well in  near future. Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina have looked impressive at times but they were always unable to convert their starts into a long innings.

Indian bowling looked impressive in patches. In couple of matches they leaked  more than 90 runs in death overs and at times they bowled tight to give away nothing. The most likely change in bowling department seems to be Ravindra Jadeja making way for tall leg spinner Rahul Sharma.

Srilanka has clinched victories on perfect time and they have an easier way to make into the finals rather than India. So they have an upper hand in this match. Srilanka would hardly opt for a change in their winning eleven. Every player is playing his part upto the mark. The only concern so far has been Sangakkara who comes high in big matches. He seems to have kept his role reserved for the finals.

Considering the scores in last match here, the pitch looks a batting paradise. There might be light showers but that won't harm the play to a large extent. Indian fans are hoping for a miracle here from their out of form team whereas Srilankan team looks relaxed and in the driver's seat.

Srilanka vs India Live - CB Series Match 8

Srilanka vs India Live

Match Update - Srilanka beats India by 51 runs

Just couple of days ago India was on the top of points table but the narrow margin between the three teams was always a threat for the top team. India lost badly to Australia and conceded a bonus point too. Now India takes on Srilanka at Gabba. This is the same pitch where India lost to Australia. The team that tops the points table now is Australia with 14 points and a net run rate of +0.43, followed by India 10 points and a net run rate of -0.67 (worst among the three). Srilanka is on the third position with 7 points and a net run rate of +0.32. Srilanka has one win, a tie and a bonus point and they have played a match lesser than the other two. So if they manage a win here, they would topple India to clinch the second position.

MS Dhoni who has been the best batsman for India in this CB series 2012 is banned for a match due to slow over rate in the last match. India generally doesn't play 4 pacers at a time. They experimented this at Gabba in the last match and fell short of time to complete their quota of 50 overs. The same experiment this time would be harmful. Also India may have to play with Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir together out of which there are fitness concerns for Sachin and Sehwag.

Srilanka looks to be a more balanced side now after an emphatic win over Australia. Skipper Jayawardene whose form was a concern; scored a half century in last match to regain his lost form.  We may not see any major changes in the Srilankan playing eleven. Probabilities are high that they would pitch in more pacers this time. Absence of Dhoni is a big worry for India but Sri Lanka won't take them lightly.

Gabba hasn't produced good results for Srilanka so far but this is a good opportunity for them to better their record as India is under immense pressure with fitness issues and absence of their captain cool MS Dhoni. This would make this match another competitive face off and a worth watch for all the cricket fans.

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 6

Australia vs Srilanka Live Streaming

After another nail biting thriller at Adelaide Oval now we move on to SCG for another face off from this tri series. This time it is Australia vs Sri Lanka. India is currently on the top of points table with 10 points which includes two wins, a loss and a tie. Sri Lanka is still winless and at 2 points with one tie. Australia is at 9 points with two wins and a bonus point.

Sri Lanka badly needs a win here to keep their hopes alive in this tri series. A loss here would make their stay toughest in this CB Series. The good thing about this match is the venue. SCG has been so far the best ground for Srilanka. They have managed victories in 5 out of 7 matches they played here in last few years. This also includes three victories against Australia.

Apart from the statistics, Srilanka also needs some better performance from Sangakkara, Dilshan and Jayawardene. They are going through a rough form and they need to stay on the pitch for long time, get used to the conditions and score big.

Australia would not enjoy the services of Michael Clarke for this match as he is suffering from hamstring injury. David Warner who is the vice captain is not considered for captaincy. Instead Ricky Ponting is handed over this role for this match. Hopefully Clarke recovers soon and returns in the next match which is against India at Brisbane on 19th February.

SCG heavily supports batsmen and hence we can expect a high scoring game here. With likes of Dilshan and Warner playing in we can expect some big hits as well. Eyes would be set on Kumar Sangakkara is he is just 11 runs short of 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. He has got good starts in all the innings in CB Series. We might expect a big day for him where he looks ahead to hit a ton!

India vs Australia Live Streaming - CB Series Match 4

India vs Australia Live Streaming

Match Update - India beats Australia

No idea but somehow a small ray of hope can be seen in the eyes of Indian fans. Somehow they feel India would clinch match number 4 of CB Series, even though Australia is on the top with 2 wins out of 2 matches.

Probably just like Australia even the Indian team is now high on confidence after beating Srilanka. Sachin achieved his rhythm back and again Kohli played well to be the highest scorer so far in CB Series. If Sehwag or Gambhir clicks to join the party, then Indian batting looks really dangerous.

As far as bowling is concerned apart from the run leakage in 1st match, Indian bowlers were pretty tight against the Srilankans. Something similar is expected from there here at Adelaide. Zaheer Khan was unplayable at times and he needs to maintain his same line and length throughout the series.

Two wins in two matches with a bonus point in first match strengthens the Australian position on the points table. India stands 2nd with one win against Srilanka. Clarke very well said that they need to play better cricket in every game as they are playing against the two finalists of World Cup.

Australian bowling lineup so far has looked very good with Doherty, Christain, Starc and Harris handling things very well. Batting on the top order is a bit of worry. Otherwise the middle order has provided a strong resistance to the opposition and posted winning totals. Ricky Ponting needs a good performance in ODIs to seal his place in the squad. He didn't succeed in the initial two matches and who knows this could be his day.

Something regarding the venue - Adelaide Oval is also the home ground of South Australia and holds a capacity of around 30000 plus spectator. If we consider the straight boundaries, they are long and hence we may not see straight sixes. But sixes would be visible square of the wickets where the boundaries are comparatively shorter.

This picturesque cricket venue promises a toughly fought match between India and Australia.

Australia vs Sri Lanka Live - CB Series Match 3

Aus vs SL Live

Match Update - Australia beats Srilanka

The host Australia take on Sri Lanka in the 3rd match of CB Series. So far Australia is on the top of the points table with a win over India, whereas India is on 2nd position with a win over Srilanka. So Srilanka would be the most eager team here to register a win and match shoulders with the other two teams.

Srilankan team has seen major changes including change in captaincy, coach and administration. So a win is a must to create a kind of self belief in this reformed team. Malinga provides a lot of comfort to a captain, provided he gets the desired fielding arrangement. Jayawardene looked a bit haphazard in fielding arrangements in match against India at Perth.

Still the Perth wickets stays bouncy and helpful for the bowlers. Team winning the toss may be enticed to bowl first to extract the early help offered by pitch to the quickies. Spinners will certainly get help in the later stages of the game. We can expect similar pitch behaviour that we saw in India vs Srilanka match.

Jayawardene agreed to the fact that Australia has a very good batting lineup and they need a very firm plan to be the better team in this match. Srilanka has some fond memories of ODI cricket in Australia because last time when they visited here, they clinched the bilateral ODI series. Jayawardene knows that they need to go after the Australian bowling attack to put pressure from the word go.

A lot relies on the shoulders of Jayawardene, Dilshan and Sangakarra as far as the batting department is concerned. We can expect a close one between these two teams as we know the fighting spirit of Srilankans and "not to let go anything" kind of spirit of the home team.
