India Vs Srilanka Live Streaming - Asia Cup 2012

India Vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Update: India wins by 50 runs

Asia Cup 2012 continues to grip more attention as India takes on Srilanka in the 2nd match. These two teams have faced each other a lot in last two years but every time they meet, cricket fans are treated with something new and exciting. The last time these two met was in CB Series where India chased 320 plus runs in less than 37 overs and this match treated us with one of the best ODI chases one must have ever seen. Srilanka went on to reach the finals of CB Series but lost it to Australia.

India defeated Srilanka in the finals of last Asia Cup and Srilanka would be itching for a revenge. These two teams play much better in the subcontinent conditions and hence they are termed to be the favourites to win this Asia Cup 2012. Srilanka has a slightly upper hand with a better bowling outfit with likes of Malinga who has been a lot unplayable at times with his yorkers. Although the Indians have tackled him better than the others but at any given day he can turn tables on the opposition.

Pakistan have started their Asia Cup campaign with a marginal win over Bangladesh and they lead the points tally. Two men worth watching in this match would be Virat Kohli and Dilshan. These two are in sparkling form and they are scoring runs at a very good strike rate. With flat subcontinent pitches they would find things easier.

Asia Cup schedule format being not as long as CB Series, any team which loses the initial match would find it arduous to make it to the finals. India and Srilanka are very well aware of this fact and hence both would strive hard to win this match at Mirpur.

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 11

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming

Target For India - 321, India chases it in just 36.4 overs to register a win with bonus points. India keeps their hope for final berth alive.

India faces Srilanka in their last match in this CB Series, if they can't make it to the final. Australia has already made it to the finals and Srilanka looks the second team to make it. India has a very slim chance if they beat Srilanka with a bonus point and if Australia beats Srilanka in the last round robin match. India has allowed to leak matches in the second half of this CB Series whereas Srilanka is on a rise in the second half.

India's loss against Australia was disappointing and India can't take any positives from that game. Sachin was run out when he was looking good. Sehwag is probably in his worst form ever and he may have to sit out if he doesn't bat well in  near future. Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina have looked impressive at times but they were always unable to convert their starts into a long innings.

Indian bowling looked impressive in patches. In couple of matches they leaked  more than 90 runs in death overs and at times they bowled tight to give away nothing. The most likely change in bowling department seems to be Ravindra Jadeja making way for tall leg spinner Rahul Sharma.

Srilanka has clinched victories on perfect time and they have an easier way to make into the finals rather than India. So they have an upper hand in this match. Srilanka would hardly opt for a change in their winning eleven. Every player is playing his part upto the mark. The only concern so far has been Sangakkara who comes high in big matches. He seems to have kept his role reserved for the finals.

Considering the scores in last match here, the pitch looks a batting paradise. There might be light showers but that won't harm the play to a large extent. Indian fans are hoping for a miracle here from their out of form team whereas Srilankan team looks relaxed and in the driver's seat.

Srilanka vs India Live - CB Series Match 8

Srilanka vs India Live

Match Update - Srilanka beats India by 51 runs

Just couple of days ago India was on the top of points table but the narrow margin between the three teams was always a threat for the top team. India lost badly to Australia and conceded a bonus point too. Now India takes on Srilanka at Gabba. This is the same pitch where India lost to Australia. The team that tops the points table now is Australia with 14 points and a net run rate of +0.43, followed by India 10 points and a net run rate of -0.67 (worst among the three). Srilanka is on the third position with 7 points and a net run rate of +0.32. Srilanka has one win, a tie and a bonus point and they have played a match lesser than the other two. So if they manage a win here, they would topple India to clinch the second position.

MS Dhoni who has been the best batsman for India in this CB series 2012 is banned for a match due to slow over rate in the last match. India generally doesn't play 4 pacers at a time. They experimented this at Gabba in the last match and fell short of time to complete their quota of 50 overs. The same experiment this time would be harmful. Also India may have to play with Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir together out of which there are fitness concerns for Sachin and Sehwag.

Srilanka looks to be a more balanced side now after an emphatic win over Australia. Skipper Jayawardene whose form was a concern; scored a half century in last match to regain his lost form.  We may not see any major changes in the Srilankan playing eleven. Probabilities are high that they would pitch in more pacers this time. Absence of Dhoni is a big worry for India but Sri Lanka won't take them lightly.

Gabba hasn't produced good results for Srilanka so far but this is a good opportunity for them to better their record as India is under immense pressure with fitness issues and absence of their captain cool MS Dhoni. This would make this match another competitive face off and a worth watch for all the cricket fans.

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 5

India vs Srilanka Live Streaming Match 11

India needs 321 to win (to get a bonus point India has to score 321 in 40 overs)

There is an interesting turn around in this tri series now. It seemed Australia would dominate the series till the end but India has turned tables on Australia. India registered a nail biting win over Australia and now they take Sri Lanka in match no. 5

After a long time fans would see a confident Indian outfit with two wins in their pockets. One against Srilanka and the other against Australia. Dhoni once again displayed his finishing skills with that huge six in the last over against Australia. Gambhir missed his ton but showcased his return to form.

Indian fielding was inspirational and they need to carry the good effort in game against Srilanka as well. Indians bowled well in the last few overs to reduce the likely score of 300 to 269 against Australia. They need such tight bowling throughout 50 overs in match no.5

Srilanka desperately needs a win here as they have already lost two. Adelaide is a pitch which supports batsmen and if Srilanka fails to capitalise here they will have to try more hard in next matches to stay alive in this CB Series. Srilanka may go with two specialist spinners here. The skipper needs to click soon as he has seen a long rough patch.

We saw a good amount of runs on this track in the last match. So we all can expect a similar match where teams atleast cross the 250 runs mark in each innings. Rest depends on how good the bowlers perform and reduce the scoring rate.

If Sachin Tendulkar plays this could be another golden opportunity for him to reach his 100th International century. He has generally played well against Sri Lanka and the Adelaide Oval track will make things easier for him.

India Vs Srilanka Live Streaming - CB Series Match 2

India Vs Srilanka Live Streaming 21st Feb

India takes on Sri Lanka in Match 2 of CB Series. These two teams faced each other in the World Cup final before this which turned out to be a cliff hanger. India clinched a win to lift World Cup earlier this year. Lately these two teams have been criticised a lot for their bad form. So both the teams would be eager to win this one here at Perth.

India has already lost the 1st match to Australia and now they can't afford another loss here. That would make things harder for MS Dhoni as this would compel India to win more in the later stages of this series. India has already faced a lot of criticism after the test series and things aren't getting an easier for them. We can expect some major changes in the team once they finish this tour of Australia.

Something that has been very common nowadays is failure of India's batting order with top order not making a mark at all. A lot relies on Sachin, Dhoni, Raina, etc. On the other even the bowling department has not been impressive. Match 1 - Bowlers leaked a lot of runs which ultimately landed the team against a daunting target.

Sri Lanka has made a lot of changes to their team alongwith a new captain as well. Jayawardene returns to the role of captaincy. Dilshan would be more dangerous as he is released from the captaincy role and Malinga would be a big attraction in bowling line up.

Asian cricket fans would be a lot interested in this face off. A good game of cricket awaits us as World Cup winners take on the World Cup runners up.
