Australia Beats New Zealand By 10 wickets In The First Test

New Zealand had to face a 10 wickets defeat against Australia at Wellington. Australia now takes an unbeatable lead of 1-0 in the two test match series.

McCullum batted well to delay their defeat but ultimately he was out on 104. Australia chased the target of 106 in just 23 overs without losing a wicket.

Michael Clarke who scored a brilliant 168 in the first innings was awarded Man of the Match award.

IPL is back home after its second edition played in South Africa. The 3rd edition of IPL has started with a bang and lot of uncertainties about which team is going to be at the top. Unlike the previous editions, this time more teams have managed to start well with their initial matches. If we have a look at the points table, teams like Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Rider have all started well. Delhi Daredevils after a good start have lost two successive matches to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Kings XI Punjab & Rajasthan Royals have started their campaigns very disappointingly with no wins from their first three matches.

Important players like Gambhir, Dhoni, Smith are injured and their teams are experiencing their deficit. On the other hand players like Gayle and Pollard have joined the IPL after finishing their international commitments.

Yousuf, Younis banned for life

PCB has banned and heavily fined few Pakistani national players. This has been a shocking news for the cricketing world. The most shocking part being life ban for recent Pakistani captains Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf. They will not be allowed to play for Pakistani cricket team anymore. They will be allowed to play domestic and county cricket.

Rana Naved and Shoaib Malik face a year's ban. Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal & Shahid Afridi are put on a probation period of 6 months with a huge fine of 2-3 million rupees.

The inquiry committee set by Pakistan cricket board suggested this bans and fines on the players. This bans are because of dismal performance of the team in Australia, bad influential behaviour of few players, ball tampering issue and much more.

Latest ICC Rankings - India finishes the year on 2nd spot

ICC has confirmed that India will finish on the second position on the ODI rankings as the cut off date is of 1st April. India will receive a prize money of  $75,000 for achieving the second spot while Australia finishes 1st with a prize money of $175,000.

India has experienced a huge success this year in International cricket as they finished 1st in the ICC rankings for Test cricket which makes them eligible for a prize money of $175,000 in Test Cricket.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni with 819 points heads the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. Sachin stands on the 4th position followed by Sehwag on 11th and Yuvraj on 13th. Harbhajan is on the seventh position in the bowler's rankings.

Sachin Tendulkar speaks about Bharat Ratna

Sachin Tendulkar speaks about the speculations of Bharat Ratna to be awarded to him. He said that he would like to be on the list of 'Bharat Ratna' awardees but currently he wants to concentrate on cricket.

Former cricketers Ajit Wadekar, Kapil Dev and Dilip Vengsarkar expressed their views that he should be awarded the highest civilian honour following his emphatic 200 runs knock against South Africa in the Gwalior ODI.

About his double century he said he would love to see an Indian breaking this record in future. He also said he is eagerly waiting for the 2011 World Cup which to be held in the Indian sub-continent.
